Mercedes-Benz London McHappy Day was particularly special this year as we had the privilege of participating in Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario's "Meals From the Heart Program." Our team came together to prepare and serve dinner for the families staying at the house, adding a personal touch to our ongoing support for this remarkable organization. We cherish every opportunity to contribute to the Ronald McDonald House and are continually inspired by the incredible work they do to support families during challenging times. This experience not only strengthened our commitment but also highlighted the profound impact that a home-cooked meal and a caring community can have on those in need.
RMHC Southwestern Ontario operates a House in London, a Family Room within L.H.S.C. Children's Hospital, and a House-Within-A-Hospital inside Windsor Regional Hospital, providing a home-like environment for just $10 a night, with no family turned away due to inability to pay. These programs save families $4.7 million annually in out-of-pocket expenses like lodging and food (RBC Economic Impact Study 2023). Beyond offering a place to stay and meals, donations help us provide family-oriented activities and support programs, including Pet Therapy, Family Craft & BINGO Nights, Birthday and Holiday Celebrations, Salon & Barber Services, and Caregiver Support Groups.
