Finch Ford Lincoln Staff Casual Days – Sarnia & District Humane Society

As the winter unfolded, our team rallied behind our friends at Sarnia Sting, sporting our Finch Sarnia Sting Hoodies with pride at every home game. Embracing the spirit of camaraderie and charity, we dedicated our "casual days" to raising funds for the Sarnia & District Humane Society, ensuring our furry friends received the care they deserve. A heartfelt thank you extends to our remarkable staff whose dedication made this initiative a success. Mark Guy, Managing Partner, and Brad Hutchinson, VP Operations, represented Finch Ford Lincoln as they presented the proceeds to Donna Pyette, the Executive Director of Sarnia Humane Society, embodying the power of community support.

Founded in the early 1950s in response to cases of animal abuse and neglect, the Sarnia & District Humane Society has been a vital part of the international humane movement for over 100 years. Initially operating on a modest budget, the society's perseverance led to the establishment of a shelter in 1957, with subsequent relocations and expansions to accommodate growing needs. Despite challenges, including prolonged searches for suitable sites and fundraising efforts, the society remained committed to its mission, culminating in the construction of a new shelter in 1983. Today, the organization continues to evolve to better serve animals and communities, relying on the dedication of its staff and volunteers.
