Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario is a registered not-for-profit, charitable agency dedicated to enhancing the lives of people who are affected by epilepsy through support services, education, advocacy, and community awareness. Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario provides a range of services to those affected by epilepsy all the way from the Grey and Bruce County areas, down to Windsor. About 14,000 people in this area have been diagnosed with epilepsy. The effect of an epilepsy diagnosis goes beyond the individual; it impacts the entire family.
"I have seen first hand how the Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario organization assists those who have had a seizure for the first time, by helping families with a relative with uncontrolled seizures through educating the masses about this very scary and stigmatized disorder. It's comforting to know their is compassion, support and education in our community. Anyone at anytime can experience a seizure for any reason, it can change your life but it doesn't have to rule your life. Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario there to help!"
