The Humane Society of London & Middlesex provides education, advocacy, and shelter for animals in need. It was originally established as a non-profit organization in 1899 and exists to improve the lives of animals in our community by providing temporary shelter and appropriate new families for surrendered animals. Throughout the years, HSLM have worked tirelessly to assist animals by providing them with a home until they can be adopted into a new family. They rely solely on individual and corporate donations in order to provide care for animals in our community.
"I am a huge animal lover and strong believer of adoption from our local animal shelters or rescues. All of my pets growing up have been rescues, including Zoë my cat that I adopted 6 years ago. I like that the Humane Society has a no kill policy, they give each animal that comes into their care a second chance at a life they deserve with a family who will love them and care for them. I felt compelled to help after I saw on Global News, that the Humane Society was appealing to the public for donations after 88 cats were surrendered to their care."
