About TTLT: Thames Talbot Land Trust (TTLT) is a registered charity with a mission to protect environmentally significant land throughout our region. They protect our region's vulnerable species by protecting natural land and restoring ecosystems. Their work is goal is building a greener future for tomorrow. Public participation is important to TTLT, and they engage our community through hands-on workshops and fun nature events to bring awareness. Not only located in London, they also help Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, and Perth Counties! Through the amazing work of TTLT, they protect more than 1700 acres of land (and still growing!), which is home to at least 45 species-at-risk.
"I am a long-time member and volunteer of the Thames Talbot Land Trust. To me, their cause of protecting environmentally significant lands in perpetuity is crucial for the protection of nature in our area, which benefits the physical and mental health of everyone who visits or lives near these properties. We have all seen how important green space is to everyone's well-being during 2020. In celebration of their 20th anniversary, TTLT is working on an ambitious fundraising campaign, Vision 2020, to bring the total area of protected land to nearly 1900 acres. I am pleased to be able to lend my support to the campaign, and I truly appreciate Finch's Match My Donation campaign for matching contributions to important local causes during a difficult year."
