Finch Match My Donation Spotlight: Dunn with Cancer Run

This week's spotlight Finch Match My Donation is

Dunn With Cancer Run

In support of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada

About Dunn With Cancer: On February 18, 2020, Allison, a 33-year-old mother of three (all under 5), went to go see the doctor to look into a headache that was getting progressively worse. Within two weeks, Allison had gone from having a headache, to becoming one of the 27 Canadians who everyday hear the words: “You have a brain tumour”, to being told she had Glioblastoma, one of the more aggressive brain tumour types.

To help fund research and foster innovation, Allison’s family and friends have established the Dunn with Cancer Run, which will take place in London, Ontario on September 19, 2020, as part of the That Dam Hill Run, to help raise money for the Dunn with Cancer Research Fund. This fund will help to expand the field of researchers and help fund new innovative concepts, bringing us closer to achieving our vision: To find the cause of and a cure for brain tumours while improving the quality of life for those affected.

"Allison Dunn was a role model to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A loving daughter, sister, wife and mother who led by example. She cared about others always looking for ways to enrich their lives and bring a ray of hope & sunshine into it. Taken from us too early in life while leaving a wonderful legacy for others to replicate. God bless Allison and her loving family."
