This year the Mercedes Benz team once again took part in the Barbara Rankin Golf Classic. It is a women’s only 9-hole golf tournament. The proceeds from go towards Big Brothers and Sisters of London and Area.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of London and Area has taken roots in 1971 as an organization for young boys. Two years later it grew to include the young girls of the London community as well. It has been a United Way agency since 1976.
The agency matches the “littles” from our community with the “big” mentors, who undergo thorough screening and training before they begin their mentoring relationship. Big Brothers Big Sisters aims to create a healthier community through mentorship and through meaningful and lasting relationships that form within the matches.
The idea that every child can greatly benefit from having a responsible and compassionate adult mentor to act as an example, will help them build caring, creative and productive futures is what drives Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Mercedes Benz London is truly honored to continue taking part in the Barbara Rankin tournament and to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters in their goal of building healthier communities and futures.
