Canadians from sea to shining sea had the opportunity to observe Remembrance Day this past Friday to honour the countless Veterans and service men and women who sacrifice so much to help keep the rest of us safe. Employees of the Finch Auto Group had the unique opportunity to really give back to the cause on this special day.On Friday night at Budweiser Gardens, Finch rallied a team of over 40 employees and their family members together to raise money for the Parkwood Institute Veterans Care Program OSI through a 50/50 draw during the London Knights game. The results were even more overwhelming than we could have hoped!
By the end of the night we were able to raise over $18,000 thanks to the hard work of our employee volunteers and the generosity of an arena full of Knights fans! We could not be more proud of the dedication on display in raising money for a wonderful cause.
The Veterans Care Program at Parkwood Institute operates with the mission to provide care that assists and supports the Veteran and his/her family to meet their current and anticipated needs to promote health and enhance their sense of well-being and quality of life. The Program offers both long-stay residency and short stay respite services to better meet the needs of Veterans. It truly is a wonderful program that does great work and we are so proud to have raised funds in support of it.
