The 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Highlights

Celebrating a Century
Louis Chevrolet was a fiercely competitive race car driver and designer, and his spirit lives on in every 2012 Corvette. This year, a special Centennial Edition Package commemorates the hundredth anniversary of the company Louis Chevrolet founded. Available on every Corvette model, the Chevrolet Centennial Edition Package includes dramatic Carbon Flash Metallic paint, special black wheels, red brake calipers, ebony seating surfaces with suede accents and red stitching, commemorative badging and much more.
Corvette Coupe And Convertible: The Definition of "Sports Car"
The lines are low and dramatic. The cockpit seats two and two only. A 430-hp LS3 V8 waits under the hood, mated to your choice of precision-engineered manual or automatic 6-speed transmissions. The suspension is independent at all four wheels, finely tuned and competition-proven. And the brakes? Powerful and responsive. Corvette Coupe and Convertible are what high-performance sports car driving is all about. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Grand Sport: Raising the Bar for Performance And Efficiency
Grand Sport models combine the premium sports-car engineering of Corvette Coupe and Convertible with the track-oriented suspension and braking components of Z06. How does it work? In a word, brilliantly. On the test track, Grand Sport Coupe delivers 1g of lateral acceleration and blasts from 0 to 96 km/h in less than four seconds. Yet on the highway it consumes a mere 7.7 litres per hundred kilometres.** That's what engineers call bandwidth.
Z06: The DNA of a Le Mans Champion
Co-developed with the Le Mans-winning Corvette race car, the lightweight, fixed-roof Z06 is the ideal Corvette for a day at the track. There's a 505 hp 7.0L V8 under the hood and the body and chassis make extensive use of strong yet lightweight materials like aluminum, magnesium and carbon fibre. Want to get even more extreme? Check out the available Ultimate Performance Package, which adds Brembo® carbon ceramic brakes, Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, Performance Traction Management, Michelin® PS Cup tires and more.
ZR1: Simply the Ultimate
A true high-tech supercar, the 638 hp ZR1 isn't just the fastest, most powerful production Chevrolet of all time. It's one of the fastest performance cars in the world. A 2012-specification ZR1 running on street tires lapped the legendary 20.8 km Nordschleife course at the Nürburgring in Germany in just 7 minutes and 19.63 seconds, faster than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, Ferrari Enzo and Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. (To view the record lap, visit YouTube and search for 7:19.63.) To help you get the most from this awesome machine, your ZR1 purchase includes an on-track driver training program at your choice of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving near Phoenix or the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain near Las Vegas.††
