The 2012 Cadillac SRX Highlights

High Tech at Your Service
Advanced engineering is part of the SRX experience even before you take your seat, as thanks to the E-Z KeyTM passive entry system, the doors unlock automatically when you approach with the key fob in your pocket or purse. Ignition is conveniently keyless, too, thanks to standard push-button start. On the road, Bluetooth® hands-free phone connectivity makes it easy to make and receive hands-free calls, and XM Satellite RadioTM* puts 130 channels of digital audio at your fingertips wherever you travel.
SRX's technology even helps you find your way on unfamiliar ground with OnStar®’s Turn-by-Turn Navigation function, which is included with the standard Directions & Connections Plan.
Serious Style
One glance at SRX and you know this is no ordinary crossover. The silhouette is fresh, bold and utterly distinctive. The stance is potent, with wide front and rear tracks and short overhangs that hint at SRX's impressive performance potential. The designers also integrated iconic Cadillac signature touches, like large, round wheel openings, vertical headlights and rear lights that subtly yet distinctly suggest tailfins. The end result is a vehicle that honours its proud heritage while simultaneously pointing the way to the future of crossover design.
Quiet? Or Concert?
With its triple-sealed doors, a five-layer acoustic headliner and acoustically laminated windshield and side window glass, SRX is a near-silent sanctuary in a noisy world. Its hushed riding environment also makes SRX an excellent place to enjoy your favourite music. The standard audio system is an AM/FM/CD unit with a USB port for your iPod® or other MP3 player and no fewer than 8 Bose® speakers. For the ultimate in mobile sound reproduction, a superb 10-speaker Bose® 5.1 surround sound audio system is also available.
Purebred Power
How does the SRX Crossover perform? Brilliantly, with more standard horsepower than the BMW X3, Audi Q5 or Lexus RX350.** Thanks to leading-edge features like direct fuel injection and Variable Valve Timing (VVT), the new-for-2012 3.6L V6 generates a prodigious 308 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. To make the most of this thrust, the standard 6-speed automatic transmission includes Driver Shift Control that lets you choose your own gears to help optimize performance. Efficiency is another SRX Crossover strength. SRX's highway fuel consumption rating is just 8.3 L/100 km.†
Gripping Performance
SRX's available All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system is engineered to make the most of the available traction in all circumstances. Developed in partnership with Haldex®, a world leader in AWD technology, the SRX system includes an electronic limited-slip rear differential. That means that, in addition to adjusting the distribution of power between the front and rear axles, it can redistribute the power to whichever rear wheel has the best grip on the road. The result? Improved traction in slippery conditions, along with greater control during hard cornering.
