Sunday, September 24th of London's 17th Annual Community in Motion: The Serious(ly) Fun Run and Finch Auto Group took the opportunity to lend a hand with the event. Rather than serve as a sponsor for the event, each Finch Auto Group dealership pledged to a specific individual participant in order to raise funds for Community Living London.
The Community in Motion Fun Run - held in Springbank Park - is a long-standing fundraiser that allows Londoners to run, walk or wheel a 2km or 5km course. Participants gather in teams, dress up in coordinating outfits and have a tonne of fun while there are plenty of other great activities surrounding the run as well. Over the years, Community in Motion has truly become a flagship fundraising event for Community Living London.
Founded in 1952, Community Living London is one of London's largest and oldest non-profit organizations. They are dedicated to to supporting people with developmental disabilities to help them live fulfilled lives in collaboration with families and the London community.
While a final tally has not yet come through, we are optimistic that the 2017 Fun Run will ultimately exceed the $61,000 raised in 2016.
Raising money for a truly noble local cause is something that we don't take for granted here at Finch Auto Group. We look forward to a continued relationship with Community Living London and the Community in Motion Fun Run for years to come!
