Once again, Finch teams up with local secondary schools in fight against cancer
For the past decade, London's Saunders Secondary School has set an incredibly high standard through their annual fundraising campaign with funds benefitting the Canadian Cancer Society. As the most successful high school fundraising campaign in Ontario, Saunders Cancer Campaign has continued to grow in terms of exposure and funds year after year.
In 2012, London's Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School will also be holding their third consecutive cancer campaign which they've tied in with the annual Relay for Life event as well as The Inside Ride for Children and Families with Cancer. In 2010, Banting raised almost $38,000 in combined funds before eclipsing that number in 2011 by raising over $60,000! This truly remarkable feat is one that the staff and students are very proud of, although they do look forward to blowing those numbers away again in 2012.
And, just like in previous years, the Finch Auto Group will play a large role in the successes of both campaigns. Finch Auto Group will be donating two brand new cars - one to each campaign - to be raffled off in each campaign's most lucrative fundraising tool. Saunders will receive a 2012 Hyundai Accent from Finch Hyundai to raffle off with all proceeds going to their campaign, while Banting will receive a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic from Finch Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC.
The Saunders Campaign kicks off on April 3rd and will run until mid-May. Meanwhile, the Banting Campaign will kick off on April 11th and run until the morning of June 2nd. Saunders, Banting and Finch would like to rally every member of the community to help out in this incredibly important fight.
